BLUETTI is bringing its unusually slim FridgePower backup system to Australia, offering a dedicated way to keep refrigerators and other essential devices running when the grid goes down.
The BLUETTI FridgePower will be available in Australia from 2 September, starting at a launch price of A$1,999, down from its A$2,499 MSRP.

A power station designed to disappear
Most portable power stations aren’t particularly subtle. They’re generally chunky boxes that need somewhere to live, which isn’t always convenient when the appliance you’re trying to protect is already taking up a sizeable chunk of the kitchen.
BLUETTI has taken a very different approach with FridgePower.
At just 75mm thick, the 2,016Wh battery system can fit into narrow gaps, sit on top of a refrigerator or be wall-mounted. That also makes it an interesting proposition outside the home, particularly in caravans, camper trailers and 4WD setups where available space is at a premium.
Despite the slim profile, FridgePower provides 1,800W of continuous AC output with a 3,600W surge capacity.
That means BLUETTI isn’t limiting its usefulness to the appliance printed on the box. Depending on their power requirements, equipment such as routers, laptops, televisions, Starlink terminals, microwaves and other essential appliances can also be kept running.
Keeping the fridge running when the lights go out
FridgePower’s other major trick is its 10ms UPS switchover.
Under normal conditions, your refrigerator can remain connected through FridgePower while mains electricity passes through the system. If grid power disappears, FridgePower automatically switches to battery power.
BLUETTI rates the internal battery at 2,016Wh and says this is enough to keep a refrigerator consuming around 2kWh per day operating for approximately 21.6 hours.
The system is expandable, too.
Up to three BC200 expansion batteries, each providing another 2,016Wh, can increase total capacity to 8,064Wh. BLUETTI claims that configuration can provide up to four days of refrigerator backup, although real-world runtime will naturally depend on the appliance, ambient temperature, usage and other connected loads.
FridgePower has a rated self-consumption of just 4W and operates at around 30dB, making it considerably more practical for indoor use than firing up a generator.
Not just for blackouts
The form factor potentially makes FridgePower just as interesting for travellers as homeowners.
BLUETTI is offering configurations incorporating its Charger 2 and DC Hub for vehicle-based installations, while a PV200 solar panel can be added for an off-grid setup with both solar and alternator charging.
The BLUETTI app provides remote monitoring of power consumption and access to four UPS operating modes: Standard, PV Priority, Time-of-Use and Customised.
There’s also support for Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Home Assistant, while BLUETTI’s optional Display 1 provides local access to system information without reaching for a phone.

The BLUETTI FridgePower launches in Australia on 2 September 2026, with introductory pricing scheduled to run until 7 October.
One interesting quirk in that pricing is that both the standalone FridgePower and the FridgePower + Display 1 bundle are A$1,999 during the launch period. BLUETTI has confirmed that these are simply the respective launch prices rather than the Display 1 being offered as a promotional free gift.
