Super-size me please, someone said, and Ooni said a’okay. The creator and leader of the home pizza oven market unveils the Ooni Koda 2 Max, launching in time for spring 2024.

The Koda 2 Max is Ooni’s largest pizza oven yet, and has been designed to accommodate every taste, all at once. Fired with versatility, the super-sized, 24-inch gas-powered pizza oven has an innovative dual-zone cooking function, meaning home cooks can feed their entire family in one go.

Dual-zone cooking has been made possible with the introduction of two independently controlled gas burners, which allow for multiple pizza styles or foods such as meats and vegetables to be cooked simultaneously at a range of temperatures; slow-cook a deep-dish pizza on one side while firing a rib eye on the other, or sear salmon on the left while flame-cooking kebabs on the right.

For those who want to share a pizza and create a showstopper for entertaining, the Koda 2 Max can also cook an impressive 20-inch New York-style pizza, the largest pizza size for an Ooni oven yet.

Ooni’s team of designers and engineers spent over 8,000 hours developing the Koda 2 Max’s state-of-the-art Ooni G2 Gas Technology. The new technology with two powerful gas burners allows true one-turn cooking, consistent stone temperature and impressive fuel efficiency. The system also brings a new level of accessibility thanks to its easy-light control dials and an auto sparking-ignition for convenient lighting.

The Koda 2 Max takes the guesswork out of cooking with its digital temperature hub. The digital display gives instant air temperature readings from either side of the oven, so cooking can be timed to perfection. To provide even more control, the digital temperature hub comes equipped with a pair of digital food probes which take internal temperature readings of meats as they roast.

In an Ooni first, the digital temperature hub also connects to smartphones thanks to Ooni Connect technology. This offers real-time notifications of oven and digital food probe temperatures, meaning users can keep an even closer eye on their tasteful creations. All users need to do is sync the oven to the Ooni Connect app to access real-time cooking notifications, product updates, tips and more.

The oven has been designed for ease of use at every touchpoint, with useful features incorporated to level up the home outdoor cooking experience. This includes a removable glass visor shield for an unrestricted view of the flames, ensuring heat retention for fuel efficiency; a built-in stainless steel pizza ledge for resting pans and easily turning pizzas; and a 20 mm cordierite cooking surface, Ooni’s thickest yet, ensuring the oven stays hotter for longer, reducing heating time in between cooks.
