I’ll admit, the name made me smile before I even opened the box. Feppo Cordless Mattress Vacuum Cleaner. That is an impressive collection of double letters in one product title. It feels like the marketing team challenged themselves to fit as many as possible into a single sentence. Thankfully, using it is much easier than saying it.
What I expected was a handy little vacuum for the mattress. What I didn’t expect was to become mildly obsessed with vacuuming every upholstered surface in my bedroom.
First Impressions and Design
The Feppo Mattress Vacuum arrives in fairly nondescript packaging. It doesn’t particularly stand out or hint at what’s inside, but don’t let that fool you. Once you open the box, it’s clear the product itself is thoughtfully designed, well made, and far more premium than the packaging initially suggests. Its design is modern and streamlined without being too bulky or intimidating. It feels well made and thoughtfully designed, and setup couldn’t have been easier. Charge it, switch it on and away you go.
I tested the grey version, which is paired with a vibrant purple handle that gives it a nice pop of colour. It’s a refreshing change from the sea of plain black appliances that seem to dominate the market. It’s also available in white if you prefer a lighter aesthetic.
What’s in the Box and Key Features
Inside the box you’ll find everything you need to get started, including a user manual, the charging cable, cleaning tools for maintaining the vacuum, and a spare filter, which is always appreciated. It feels like Feppo has thought beyond the initial purchase and included the accessories you’ll eventually need.
Lightweight and Comfortable to Use
One of the standout features is how comfortable it is to handle. It’s lightweight enough that using it across an entire mattress doesn’t become tiring, and the ergonomic handle makes it easy to manoeuvre around corners, edges and awkward spaces. Weighing only 1.3 kg, it’s light enough to glide over the mattress without your arms protesting halfway through. Even after cleaning the mattress, bedhead and ottoman, it remained comfortable to hold and easy to manoeuvre.
Because it’s cordless, there’s no trailing power cord getting tangled around bed legs or furniture. You simply pick it up and go wherever you need it.
Emptying the dust container is equally straightforward. The collection chamber is easy to remove and empty without creating a cloud of dust everywhere, which anyone who’s wrestled with older vacuum designs will appreciate.
Powerful Cyclone Suction Performance
Don’t let the compact size fool you. The cyclone suction is genuinely impressive.
My mattress and bedroom furniture are all less than twelve months old, so I wasn’t expecting much to come out of them. I was wrong.
After vacuuming my mattress, velvet bedhead and matching velvet ottoman, I was genuinely surprised by how much fine dust and debris the vacuum managed to extract. You don’t necessarily see what’s building up over time, but once you empty the dust chamber, it’s a rather confronting reminder that even newer furniture collects far more than you’d imagine.
It’s oddly satisfying … and slightly horrifying.
Smart Interactive Display Makes Cleaning Easy
One feature I found myself checking regularly was the smart interactive display.
Rather than simply telling you the vacuum is on, it actively tracks dust levels as you clean while also displaying the remaining battery life in real time.
Watching the dust indicator respond as you move across different areas is surprisingly satisfying. It also gives you confidence that you’re not simply pushing a machine around for the sake of it. You can actually see when an area has been cleaned more thoroughly.
The battery indicator is equally helpful because you always know exactly how much runtime you have left instead of wondering when the vacuum is about to stop.
Choosing Between Eco and Boost Mode
The two cleaning modes make the vacuum far more versatile than I expected.
I used Eco Mode on my velvet comforter, where the gentler suction was ideal for delicate fabric without pulling or grabbing at the material.
When it came to the mattress, my velvet ottoman and upholstered bedhead, Boost Mode (probably should have been called ‘Beast Mode’ given the power of the suction!) was the clear winner. The extra suction power noticeably lifted more fine dust from these firmer surfaces, making them feel genuinely refreshed afterwards.
Having both options means you can safely clean a wider variety of fabrics without worrying about using excessive suction where it isn’t needed.
UV-C Light for Added Hygiene
The vacuum also includes a built in UV-C light designed to help treat dust mites and other microscopic allergens.
Now, I don’t have a dust mite problem (at least I sincerely hope I don’t), so I can’t personally comment on its effectiveness in that regard. However, it’s reassuring knowing the feature is there. Even if you don’t currently have concerns about mites, it’s one of those added layers of protection that contributes to keeping your sleeping environment as hygienic as possible.
For allergy sufferers or households with pets, this could be a particularly valuable feature.
Editor’s note: UV-C is not magic, you do need a bit of direct exposure time on the surface before you are likely to see some results.
Battery Life and Runtime
Battery performance has been consistently solid throughout my testing.
On each charge I’ve comfortably achieved around 30 minutes of continuous use, which has been more than enough to vacuum my mattress, bedding, upholstered furniture and cushions before needing to recharge.
Given that mattress cleaning is typically something you’ll do periodically rather than daily, the battery life feels well matched to the intended purpose.
Quiet Operation
The noise level was another pleasant surprise. It’s much quieter than I expected, producing a steady hum rather than the loud, high pitched roar you often associate with powerful vacuums. I had no hesitation using it while others were in the house, and it certainly didn’t feel disruptive.
Final Verdict: Should You Buy the Feppo Cordless Mattress Vacuum Cleaner?
The Feppo Cordless Mattress Vacuum Cleaner has genuinely exceeded my expectations. Feppo offers plenty of support if you need it. Whether you prefer contacting the team via email, watching helpful how-to videos on YouTube, or connecting through their Facebook page, there are several ways to find answers and get the most out of your vacuum. It’s reassuring to know that support extends well beyond the instruction manual. Having that level of backup really takes the hassle out of cleaning up any questions. #seewhatididthere
It combines strong cyclone suction, practical cleaning modes, a genuinely useful interactive display and thoughtful extras like UV-C treatment into a lightweight, easy-to-use package. Plus, it looks good. Add in the comfortable handling, cordless convenience, respectable battery life and the included accessories, and it feels like a very complete product.
Perhaps the biggest surprise wasn’t the vacuum itself. It was discovering just how much dust it managed to pull from furniture that isn’t even a year old. That’s both impressive and slightly unsettling.
If you’re looking for an easy way to freshen mattresses, upholstered furniture, bedheads, cushions or even delicate bedding, this little machine earns its place in the linen cupboard. Just don’t blame me when you find yourself vacuuming the entire bedroom simply because it’s strangely satisfying to watch that dust indicator do its thing.
