Electronic learning toys giant, VTech Electronics, is launching its next-gen TV console game in Australia under its beloved brand LeapFrog.

Slated as the next evolution in TV consoles, LeapFrog, a key player locally in innovative educational play is unveiling LeapMove from August at Australian retail.

Designed for young children, LeapMove transforms physical activity into educational adventures on screen. Developed for kids aged 4 to 11 years, LeapMove combines learning, movement, and fun in a truly immersive play experience.

LeapFrog LeapMove

No controller needed with LeapMove!

Easy to use, LeapMove detects children’s movements through a built-in motion sensor. On screen, kids see themselves in action or take on the role of three fantastic characters, guaranteeing a fun and engaging experience.

Move, jump, dance, fly… every motion becomes a game command

Every move children make drives the action on screen, allowing full immersion in the adventure — they become the hero of the game!

Rich, evolving educational content

LeapMove includes 25 built-in games and adventures that cover more than 20 key learning areas:

  • Maths and logic
  • Vocabulary, rhyming, and spelling
  • Sound and letter recognition
  • Dance and choreography

Games offer 3 levels of difficulty, supporting children from preschool through primary school (up to age 11).

The console grows with the child thanks to downloadable educational games available through LeapFrog’s website.

Passive screen time isn’t great for kids, so instead LeapMove gets children moving, turning every jump, twist, and twirl into a chance to learn,” explains Maud Rocher, Marketing Director at VTech Electronics Australia. “It’s more than just play — it’s a fresh way to help kids grow and explore through movement.

The console has just won the 2025 Toy of the Year Award in France, a sign of LeapMove’s truly innovative approach to children’s game play.” LeapMove won the Jouet de l’année 2025 Award at the Grand Prix du Jouet 2025, the 42nd edition of the prestigious French toy industry awards, organised by La Revue du Jouet, the French Toy Industry Trade Magazine, and a panel of 14 retail buyers.
