Amazon’s next major sales event is approaching, but some brands are already getting started. We’re rounding up the more interesting Prime Big Deal Days tech offers as they land.

The Prime Big Deal Days emails have started arriving, which means the familiar avalanche of discounts is not far behind.

Rather than publish a separate story every time a brand announces its sale, we are pulling the more interesting technology offers together in one place.

That does not necessarily mean the biggest percentage printed on a promotional banner. We are looking for products that stand out, meaningful discounts and deals that make something noticeably more affordable.

As always, we will continue updating this article as more Australian Prime Big Deal Days offers arrive.

Reolink is getting in particularly early, with its promotion running across two periods.

Pre-sales run from September 22 to September 28, followed by its main sale from September 29 to October 5. The offers are available through both Amazon Australia and Reolink’s own online store.

There are discounts of up to 35 per cent across its security range, but these are some of the offers that stand out.

Reolink TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi | A$279.49 (RRP A$429.99)

The TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi combines a wired floodlight with a dual-lens 4K PTZ security camera and 360-degree coverage.

At A$279.49, it is A$150.50 below its regular A$429.99 price and is available at that price from September 22 through October 5.

For anyone already looking at improving outdoor security and lighting at the same time, this is probably the Reolink deal we would look at first.

Reolink TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi

Reolink OMVI 3i PoE | A$314.99 (RRP A$449.99)

Reolink’s OMVI 3i is considerably more ambitious than a conventional single-camera security system.

It combines an 18MP triple-lens panoramic camera with a separate pan-and-tilt tracking lens. Reolink’s SyncTrack system can follow a moving subject while the panoramic camera retains the wider view.

It also includes local AI-powered video search without requiring a cloud subscription.

The PoE model falls to A$314.99 during the main September 29 to October 5 sale.

There is also a Wi-Fi model reduced from A$459.99 to A$319.99, with that offer running across both sale periods.

Reolink OMVI 3i PoE

Reolink Battery Video Doorbell 2nd Gen | A$160.99 (RRP A$229.99)

Reolink’s second-generation Battery Video Doorbell has a square 2048 x 2048 1:1 field of view, designed to capture visitors and packages from head to toe.

It supports battery operation or optional hardwiring, local AI detection for people, vehicles, pets and packages, microSD storage up to 512GB and, importantly, does not require a subscription for those local AI features.

The A$160.99 price is only available during Reolink’s September 22 to September 28 pre-sale, so this one has a shorter window than most of the company’s other offers.

Ring Battery Video Doorbell (2nd Gen)

Reolink Solar Floodlight Cam | A$125.99 (RRP A$179.99)

The Solar Floodlight Cam combines a 4MP security camera with a 1,000-lumen floodlight, rechargeable battery and integrated 3W solar panel.

Reolink says a full battery can keep it operating for up to three months without sunlight under its specified usage conditions, while the solar panel removes the need to run power to the installation point.

It drops to A$125.99 during the September 29 to October 5 main sale.

Reolink Solar Floodlight Cam

Reolink Argus MagiCam | A$79.99 (RRP A$99.99)

The discount is smaller, but the Argus MagiCam itself is unusual enough to warrant a mention.

The tiny 108g wire-free camera attaches magnetically, runs from two AA lithium batteries and supports microSD storage and local AI detection without a subscription. Reolink claims battery life of up to nine months.

At A$79.99, it could be interesting for renters or anyone wanting a security camera that can be moved around without permanently installing it.
